Troubleshooting is what Arlyn is known for. The original company site put it plainly: on many occasions he has found the problem when other electricians could not. That means a methodical hunt: tracing the circuit, testing under load, opening the boxes where the trouble really is, instead of swapping parts until something works.

Circuit breaker installation and repair and panel repairs are everyday work. Many homes around Arvada were built in the 1950s through the 1970s, and some still carry panel brands with a poor track record, or a panel that is simply full. Lighting is where a house changes the most for the money. We install recessed cans in kitchens and basements, put dimmers where you actually want them, add outdoor lighting for walks, decks and garages, and install or repair ceiling fans, including the ones that need a proper fan-rated box first.

Outlets, switches & GFCIs

Adding switches and outlets where you need them, replacing worn or two-prong outlets, and putting GFCI protection in kitchens, baths, garages, basements and outdoors, where water and electricity meet. We also do washer and dryer hook-ups, including the dedicated dryer circuit.

Wiring, rewiring & remodels

Remodeling and rewiring projects are a big part of the work: a kitchen opened up, a basement finished, an addition, or an older home that needs its wiring brought forward. We also run cable and phone wiring. Permitted work is pulled under the company’s Colorado electrical contractor registration.

Electrical inspections

Sometimes the right first job is a look. One customer called Sonshine before adding attic insulation, so the wiring could be checked first; that is exactly the kind of inspection we do. We also look at energy-efficiency projects, older-home wiring and anything that just doesn’t seem right.

EV chargers & surge protection

Colorado drivers are buying electric cars fast, and the Front Range gets a lot of summer lightning. A Level 2 charger needs a properly sized dedicated circuit, and a whole-home surge protector at the panel guards the electronics in everything from the furnace to the fridge.
